An 1850 victorian brick building downtown hosted the development of the Lodge. Reclaimed material were utilized in the design and construction of this retrofit. Every surface & corner from the exposed brick, birdseye maple floor, original Mahogony Bar and tin stamped ceiling received a facelift. Pendant fixtures, sconses & table lighting were fabricated into a walnut & stainless combo design to fit the room. Demolishing a center wall then supporting it with steel beams opened the space. 50yr aged furniture grade cedar and walnut recovered from a forgotten saw mill in central Iowa provided rich material. Custom hardware, salvaged glass & stainless steel accented most of 5000 sq ft space complimented with tile artisan mosaics & stonework.
