Old growth shrubs adjacent a patch unable to take grass inspired this fire nook.  Soil from another project was utilized to build up a large mound which allowed a recession to be cut.  Installation of large retaining wall block established a horseshoe cutout to offer privacy with windbreak.  The use of reclaimed pavers established a fire preventive area for safety and ease of brooming.   The tree canopy above was trimmed back eliminating any potential fire threat.  A cut-out from driveway to rear of house shored with keystone block with paved steps transformed a non-use area

into linked sectional patios .
